Explaining virtual reality (VR) to those who have never tried it before it extremely difficult. It gets even murkier and diluted when you bring in and talk about 360 content. However things may get a whole lot simpler with Pico’s Goblin head-mounted display (HMD).
Fear not! This all in one headset may save the day. VRFocus has covered this headset before, so if you’re looking for a more extensive overview you can find it here. With continuous play you can get three hours of battery life. The benefits are that you do not need a phone that is VR compatible. Pico wants to build with the intention of making VR accessible to everyone. The headset will be available in the United States, Japan, China and Europe with over 50 games at launch coming mostly from the Samsung Gear, Google Daydream a few PlayStation VR games as well as some exclusive content for Pico.
You can now pre-order the headset on Pico’s website for $269 or weight for their higher end HMD which will be coming out this year which not only has 6DoF (which allows you to move around in an environment) as well as hand tracking. To find out more watch the video below.
