Doctor Kvorak’s Obliteration Game Hits Steam

Making videogames can sometimes be a labour of love. A time consuming process at the best of times, for even the biggest videogame studios projects can take years and years – and that’s before any potential issues that may tip the scales and slide the title into development hell.

Doctor Kvorak’s Obliteration Game is, thankfully, not a game that has met such a fate. It is though a title that has been in development with creators Freekstorm for some seven years, and has now finally made its debut onto Steam.

Part challenging puzzle game and part adventure title, Freekstorm say Doctor Kvorak’s Obliteration Game has been described as “Running Man meets Portal with the art style of Mars Attacks“, and you can certainly see why that is the case in the trailer for the videogame that you can see below. The story follows the doctor in question, Kvorak, who is something of a troublemaker. Believed to be immortal, Kvorak has no qualms about testing the mortality of others and does so through the somewhat unusual platform of a galactic game show.

Doctorr Kvorak’s Obliteration Game has over ten hours of gameplay, a VR map editor and comes with support for the three main PC head-mounted displays (HMDs) – the Oculus Rift, the HTC Vive and also the OSVR. It launched yesterday on Steam and can be purchased now for $19.99 (USD) / £14.99 (GBP)

VRFocus will be bringing you more virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) games news very soon.
