Sony Computer Interactive’s (SIE) Japan Studio has been working on No Heroes Allowed! VR for some time. A debut last year – under the name of V! What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord? R – lead to a western reveal at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, back in June. Now retailers have begun their pre-order campaigns for the videogame in anticipation of a release later this year.
No Heroes Allowed! VR is a real-time strategy (RTS) videogame where you become the God of Destruction and, together with the Badmen and Badmella, aim for world domination. Armed with a series of hives, the player must strategically place their units to encourage monster growth by feeding them. Superior monsters become available once enough food – i.e. lesser monsters – are gained under your control on the battlefield.
No Heroes Allowed! VR is related to a PlayStation Vita title, No Heroes Allowed!, which saw release back in 2010. A demo version is available to download for free from the PlayStation Store, however No Heroes Allowed! VR is of course a very different experience.
As a virtual reality (VR) exclusive title, No Heroes Allowed! VR requires the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) for play. No Heroes Allowed! VR will see an international release in 2017, with Play Asia suggesting that the videogame may also see a retail edition. VRFocus will have more coverage of No Heroes Allowed! VR coming very soon.
