Today, Three Digit Studios, a multimedia story driven company, has released its first virtual reality (VR) experience in the form of a short film called Your Journey Home.
The short is part meditation experience and part piece of art. The studio explains in it description: “In a mysterious white desert, you are placed face to face with the moments before your death. Tied to the ground, you have nothing to do but ponder and look upon the ominous man walking towards you with his sword.”
Cole Higgins, Founder of Three Digit Studios said in a statement: “This story came to me in a flash and I knew that I simply had to make it.” “VR is a brand new way to tell stories,it has the unique ability to drop one’s entire being into a world. I want to build worlds and stories that touch people’s souls.”
Three Digit Studios has planned future VR content, looking at integrating VR into instagram graphic novel The Way: Age of Darkness.
Your Journey Home supports Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR headsets. It can be downloaded from the Three Digit Studios website for $0.99 USD.
