Ever fancied being a magic wielding wizard, conjuring up flaming projectiles to launch at enemies. Well in virtual reality (VR) you can with videogames like The Unspoken or The Mage’s Tale offering some spell casting combat. Now there’s another to add to that list with Cortopia’s Wands now available for Oculus Rift.
A pure multiplayer combat experience, Wands is all about collecting ancient relics to unlock 22 powerful spells with which to use against other players. Whether that’s offensive fireballs or an electric fist to defensive shields that help protect you against incoming volleys.
Originally a Samsung Gear VR title, with the addition of Oculus Rift Wands now supports three platforms with Google Daydream being the third. Cross-platform support is enabled so no matter which headset you own you’ll be able to find other players around the world. Although the Oculus Rift version will give those players a slight advantage due to its high-end capabilities, they’ll be able to dodge out the way of spells which the mobile players are unable to do.
