Paint 3D Gets an Immersive Boost with Mixed Reality Viewer

There’s been plenty of discussion about Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality (MR) headsets, when they’re coming out, the differences between each one and so on. But what about content, Steam support has been confirmed so there’s going to be plenty of entertainment available, so what’s available for those with a more creative side. Well, Paint 3D is getting an MR upgrade this October with the launch of the Windows Creator Update and the Mixed Reality Viewer.

Using Mixed Reality Viewer, users will be able to see 3D objects – either from the Remix3D.com community or their own creations in Paint 3D – then add them to their actual surroundings through the PC’s or laptop’s camera. The imagery can then be snapped, shared and even drawn on.

Microsoft actually began introducing mixed reality support with the first iteration of Paint 3D earlier this year when the Spring Windows 10 Creators Update arrived.
