This year’s EGX, Birmingham, is rapidly approaching and today Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has launched the registration system for booking an opportunity to get hands-on with the PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD). Furthermore, the company has revealed the first two titles that will be offered for public demonstrations.
Gran Turismo Sport is the long awaited PlayStation 4 debut of the hugely successful Gran Turismo franchise developed by Polyphony Digital. This latest edition of the videogame will include PlayStation VR compatibility, which will be showcased publicly at EGX later this month. Previous outing have seen the title demonstrated with a full racing seat and steering wheel set-up, though it’s not yet known if this will be the case at EGX.
Bravo Team is one of two new PlayStation VR exclusive titles coming from UK studio Supermassive Games. Announced at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), VRFocus got hands-on with Bravo Team, stating in a preview: “Two players make their way down a bridge filled with wrecked cars and other vehicles, taking out enemies en-route. This is your usual cover and shoot affair, where movement is limited to running between cover points, designated by half or full shields – a la XCOM. You could then peek out to shoot bad guys, or communicate with your partner to try and flank them.”
Both Gran Turismo Sport and Bravo Team are set to release later this year, and will be playable at EGX this month. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on both titles.
