Since we ended Saturday with a new virtual reality (VR) videogame about American Football it only makes sense to end Sunday in a similar fashion. Because the good news is we’ve just had the release of another title for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and this one doesn’t have you running.
Developed and published by Truant Pixel, 2MD VR Football is more a traditional American Football experience although with some twists on the aesthetics. You can customise your team look, including logo, the voice used in instructions and the colours of your first and second jerseys. Whilst the title does have a Headmaster-style minigame to work in and warm up your throwing arm the meat and potatoes of the videogame sees you taking on the role of quarterback. (In actuality a training dummy finally given their break to play in the big game.) It’s up to you to throw the ball into space for the receiver – but the plays are up to you to call, and even you to devise beforehand on the team whiteboard. Perhaps your originality can unlock the defense?
Only one way to find out.
There are a number of unlockable trophies and bonuses for you to acquire as well as you play. Like a number of titles featured this weeked it is on a limited time offer that ends on 4th October 2017. With the current price at £7.69 (GBP), saving you 23% off the standard £9.99.
