While Digital Domain are probably best known fro their work on the digital effects on Hollywood blockbusters such as Titanic or Deadpool, they are also heavily involved in virtual reality (VR) having launched its own VR and 360 degree video content app and creating VR content such as Monkey King. Now the company is expanding into one of the world’s fastest-growing economies by setting up a new Indian location.
Digital Domain India will by located in Hyderabad’s IT/ITES Special Economic Zone campus, where it will sit alongside other well-known technology brands such as Apple, Google and Microsoft. The Hyderabad location will be the tenth location for Digital Domain, joining other recently opened locations in Beijing and Hong Kong which opened earlier this year.

The Indian studio will be headed up by Sudhir Reddy as Head of Digital Studio, who will bring almost 20 years of experience in creative, production and managerial roles. Alongside him will be Senior Strategic Advisor Venkatesh Roddam, who was previously CEO of Reliance MediaWorks, one of India’s biggest entertainment companies.
