In March Fountain Digital Labs launched interactive virtual safari Virry VR: Feel the Wild for PlayStation VR, enabling viewers to get up close to wild animals like rhinos, lions, zebras and elephants. This was then followed up with Virry Safari: Wild Encounters for Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR in September. Today, the studio has revealed a sequel, Virry Safari 2: Feel the Wild for the PC and mobile headsets.
Just like the original, Virry Safari 2: Feel the Wild takes viewers to the African Savannah to interact, feed, and safely engage with wild and endangered species in their natural habitats. The sequel brings an all new set of virtual experiences and interactions with seven different animal species including elephants, lions, zebras, rhinos, and more.
Virry Safari 2: Feel the Wild also brings the Mood-o-Meter which featured in the most recent update for PlayStation VR to Oculus Rift and Gear VR for the first time. Spending time in the app can have a positive impact on your well being and your general outlook and the Mood-o-Meter allows you to monitor changes in your mood while spending time on the savannah in Kenya, tracking your progress in the Settings menu.
“Virry immerses players in the lives of real animals, encouraging discovery, empathy and problem solving, while helping them to better understand nature, conservation and the world around them,” said Svetlana Dragayeva, Fountain Digital Labs CEO in a statement.
Virry Safari 2: Feel the Wild will arrive on 30th November, 2017, retailing for $9.99 USD/ £7.99 GBP on Oculus Rift, and $4.99/£3.99 on Oculus Rift.
Just like the first title you can also subscribe to three live HD-cameras installed at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and check in on the very same animals you just met in Virry any time day or night. Live cameras have a 15 minute free trial period after which subscriptions are $1.99 per month or $3.49 per month to donate $1.50 to Lewa.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of Virry VR and Fountain Digital Labs, reporting back with the latest updates.
