The excitement of going to a showroom is unmatched for car enthusiasts looking for their next purchase. The smell of the fresh seats, the rev of a new engine, test driving a vehicle straight off the line – exhilaration in its purest form. Of course, the beauty of virtual reality (VR) is being allowed to experience new things without having to leave the comfort of your home – so of course, it’s only natural that you’d be able to go to a showroom of your own in VR.
EVOX Images’ RelayCars app is well known among VR car enthusiasts as the place to appreicate all of the latest cars on the market in a realistic, believable environment. Now, the latest edition of RelayCars, RelayCars 7, is available, giving users access to more vehicles than ever before.
RelayCars 6 was released last year offering a huge bunch of cars and improvements, and with the latest update things can only get better for users.
The latest update includes features such as new perspective controls, allowing users to get a better look at their favourite vehicles, and colour correction changes. Featured Vehicles is a new section that will highlight a curated collection of vehicles that will be continually updated.
Almost every car and truck on the market since 2015 is available in the app, and now includes a fast library of brand new and classic cars, including trucks, sedans and SUVs.
CEO of EVOX Images, David Falstrup, shows his enthusiasm for the new update; “We are very excited to debut these new features that will continue to improve the car shopping experience. There are so many advantages to a virtual showroom for car buyers, giving them access to experience hundreds of different makes and models that would otherwise not fit on the showroom floor. RelayCars 7 has evolved to become a greater asset to both the dealer and the shopper.”
You can download RelayCars 7 on Samsung Gear VR in the Oculus Store, and there you’ll be able to get the best possible idea of what kind of car you want, without ever having to go to a showroom. We’ll have all of the latest news on VR vehicles and new RelayCars updates as they happen, so make sure to keep reading VRFocus.
