Valve, Inc. has today published the top selling videogame titles of 2017, as per the hugely popular digital distribution platform for PC, Steam. This year, more subcategories have been included in the top selling lists, including virtual reality (VR) videogames for the first time.
The 2017 edition of Steam’s ‘Year End Charts’ is the second time Valve has published such detailed information on the software sales throughout the previous calendar year. This edition however, includes many more category breakdowns such as the top VR titles, Early Access titles, Most Played titles and titles that enjoyed the best Opening Week performance.
The chart includes titles compatible with any head-mounted display (HMD) supported by Steam VR, including the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, OSVR Hacker Dev Kit and Windows Mixed Reality platforms. The top selling VR titles are as follows, organised into tiers by gross revenue.
