It was only last week that VRFocus reported on AllSeated’s plans to modernise the Event Planning industry using virtual reality (VR). Today, the company has announced that US national furniture rental provider to the events industry AFR Furniture Rental will white label AllSeated’s 360 Realplans-3D event planning platform.
The partnership continues a growing trend in the industry towards the use of immersive technology as a way of visualising ideas and plans to clients. 360 Realplans-3D will now be able to pre-deliver lifelike experiences to venues and vendors’ clients coupled with AFR’s furnishings.
“We are thrilled to white label AllSeated’s VR engine in order to transport our clients into our showrooms, and allow them to experience our furniture in ways nobody has experienced before,” said Tricia Schmitt, Chief Branding Officer at AFR Furniture Rental. “AllSeated and AFR share so many of the same brand qualities, and when it comes to our clients and customer service we are totally aligned.”
AllSeated’s team has two-decades of experience developing 3D and gaming technologies, using its expertise to inject operational efficiencies into the process of designing events, which should help venues close more business.
“AllSeated working alongside AFR is going to be a dream for the event planning community and its clients,” said AllSeated CMO and co-founder Sandy Hammer. “Virtual access to AFR furnishings further enhances the remarkable selling power of the AllSeated VR platform.”
The AllSeated 360 RealPlans-3D platform is available on a wide range of VR headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR from within the standard AllSeated platform. Designed from scratch as a hardware-agnostic initiative, the company’s VR solution is expected to be available on all VR headsets by early summer 2018, with plans to support Oculus Go as well. VRFocus will continue its coverage of Allseated as it plans to expand the 360 RealPlans-3D platform, reporting back with any further updates.
