Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has made a big PlayStation VR push this week, rolling out three new bundle deals for US consumers with prices starting from $199.99 USD for the Gran Turismo Sport package. Whether you’re new to PlayStation VR or now part of the old school, you’ll be pleased to hear that PlayStation Store has launched a range of videogame discounts. There’s just a couple of small cravats, first, you need to be a PS Plus member and second, the offers are only showing on the US store.
If you happen to be a North American PS Plus member then you’ve got plenty to chose from. Fairly new titles on discount include nDreams’ Shooty Fruity which has been reduced from $19.99 down to $15.99, Bethesda Softworks’ Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR has taken a 30 percent cut, dropping it from $59.99 to $41.99 and DOOM VFR, now $20.99 instead of $29.99. How about horror experiences like Stifled for $11.99 rather than $19.99, Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul for $19.99 instead of £39.99 or Don’t Knock Twice, reduced down from $19.99 to $9.99.
The store brought up 59 matches for VRFocus which is a sizable amount for those wishing to add to their library of videogames. Discounts range from your basic 10 percent all the way up to 75 percent for some – the average is around 40 to 50 percent for most. These deals won’t last forever either, this is purely a one week special with the promotion running until 27th February, 2018.
Once again this is a US only offer, nothing has appeared on the European PlayStation Store nor has anything been announced.
They maybe older titles yet PlayStation VR has seen plenty of new ones appear over the last couple of weeks. Drunkn Bar Fight, CubeWorks, Knockout League, Pop-Up Pilgrims and Sprint Vector all arrived last week, with Run Dorothy Run, Restless Spirit, Konrad the Kitten and Apex Construct hitting the store this week. Plus Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality has a confirmed April launch date for the headset. For any further deals and offers, keep reading VRFocus.
