People in the UK who are interested in trying out mobile virtual reality (VR) have the opportunity to get hold of a Google Daydream headset as part of a deal offered by network provider EE that lets the cost be spread out over several months.
If you are in the market for a new mobile phone and are also keen to test out mobile VR technology, then EE might be worth investigating, as an offer is currently open to customers in the UK that lets the cost of a Google Daydream VR2 headset be spread our over 11 months when they sign up for a new contract.
Th offer is open to new customers and those wanting to upgrade. Customers will be able to select a phone, a price plans and up to three accessories when they get to the basket stage on the EE online store.
The Google Daydream costs £99 (GBP) to buy outright from the EE store, but EE can spread out the cost by adding a £9 charge to a customer’s monthly bill over 11 months. As such, EE is not charging any interest or asking for an up-front deposit. However, some other retailers are offering a Google Daydream for a lower price of £70. For many customers, however, the option to spread out the cost will make the deal very attractive.
EE has the largest network in the UK, with its 4G network covering 99% of the population and 86% of the geographical area. The company offers all the latest top-of-the-range handsets, including the Google Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8, both of which have been listed by Google as being compatible with the Google Daydream.
Customers will need to sign up for a minimum of 12 months, with a range of price plans available. Customers on the Max plan have access to some of the fastest 4G speeds in the UK as well as access to BT Sport and inclusive roaming in countries such as the USA, Canada and Australia.
