After it’s debut on PlayStation VR, developer Fast Travel Games have released their acclaimed virtual reality (VR) title Apex Construct onto PC.
In Apex Construct players need to explore a shattered world and uncover the secrets that are hidden within all while defending themselves from synthetic creatures, utilizing an upgradable bow, arrow & shield setup. As players progress through the title they will slowly uncover the truth about what happened to the world they once knew and where they fit in all of it. Apex Construct offers an immersive single player VR experience that will take players through a highly interactive environment full of beauty and danger.
Oskar Burman, CEO at Fast Travel Games commented on the release saying: “Bringing Apex Construct to PC means we are filling an important void in the PC VR games market today. Players have asked for a “real” VR action/adventure, something different to the many wave shooters out there, and we believe Apex Construct is this game: With a focus on narrative and exploration, along with action-packed gameplay where you utilize an upgradable bow & shield combination, Apex Construct should please anyone who wants an immersive, dynamic VR game that lasts.”
The team at Fast Travel Games have been hard at work to bring Apex Construct to PC and the three different platforms that will be supported, all releasing at the same time. Players will be able to now enjoy the title with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or Windows Mixed Reality (MR). Elsewhere, the team at Fast Travel Games have been experimenting with bring the title over to mobile devices having successful ported a section of the title with the help of ARM. Though the company has no plans to release the full title on mobile at this time, having been focused on the PC release, the future of the company and Apex Construct is promising thanks to these developments.
VRFocus’ Staff Writer Rebecca Hills-Duty reviewed Apex Construct on PlayStation VR saying: “…Apex Construct represents the way forward for VR videogames, an absorbing, intriguing experience that draws you in with a rich world complete with its own history and mysteries to be unravelled as well as a fluid combat system. Apex Construct is the standard by which future VR titles will be judged, and an indicator that VR has stepped up its game.”
Apex Construct is now available on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows MR following a successful debut on PlayStation VR.
