HTC Vive Launches ‘Enterprise Advantage’ Service for Vive Pro

HTC Vive has today announced the Vive Pro 2.0 Kit specifically built for commercial users to develop and deliver VR experiences to grow their business. In addition, the ‘Enterprise Advantage’ service will offer dedicated support, onsite customer pick up and return and a two-year commercial warranty covering the head-mounted display (HMD) and accessories.

HTC Vive Pro 2.0 KitThe Vive Pro 2.0 Kit retails for £1,299 GBP and includes the Vive Pro HMD, SteamVR tracking 2.0, two base stations and two controllers. Created for business-use, the out of the box roomscale range is 6 x 6 meters and will support up to 10 x 10 meters with multiple base stations. Individual base stations will be available for purchase separately at a later date.

Enabling small to large companies to leverage the VR solution and protect their investment, Vive Enterprise Advantage professional services offers commercial licensing, dedicated support, and service utilities for HTC Vive Pro. Each program offers purchase protection with tailored hardware warranties, limited down time, dedicated support and advanced device management utilities. HTC Vive Pro’s new enterprise management tool gives businesses the flexibility and control to manage Vive deployments and updates easily and securely. The Enterprise Advantage service is available for £165 (excluding VAT).

The HTC Vive Pro launched earlier this month, celebrating the two-year anniversary of the original HTC Vive model. For consumers, an upgrade option to replace the original HMD is available as the HTC Vive Pro is compatible with all existing base stations and controllers.

At present, a palette swap on the controllers and the upgraded base stations are the only changes outside of the Vive Pro HMD itself, however and new controllers, codenamed ‘knuckles’, are also on the HTC Vive roadmap.
