Leading motion picture exhibitor operator Regal Entertainment Group, who manage one of the largest theatre circuits in the United States, has introduced a new collectible movie magazine featuring interactive augmented reality (AR).
Moviebill is a new, collectible movie magazine that is made for specific movies and filled with exclusive content and immersive AR experiences that are related to each film that the issue is focusing on. Guests are able to unlock a number of never before seen interactive content, including 3D character and behind-the-scenes content features by downloading the Regal mobile app and scanning the magazine.

A preview edition of Moviebill is available now and features a range of content on movies such as Avengers: Infinity War, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Deadpool 2, a sweepstakes to Orlando, Florida and more. Visitors with be able to pick up the preview edition with an opening weekend ticket purchase and then bring the pages to life using the Regal mobile app.
The first full edition of Moviebill is set to release on Thursday, 26th April alongside the release of Avengers: Infinity War and include plenty of content themed around the movie. This will also include interviews and games that are brought to life thanks to the AR technology being used. Additionally, visitors will be able to scan posters, banners and other in-theater displays to unlock even more and different experiences to those in the magazine.
Moviebill is sure to bring the excitement of seeing the latest blockbuster movie to a new life as they experience can continue even after the movie ends. With all the extra content included in the magazine, plus through additional scannable material, the number of AR experiences will be plenty and accessible to anyone with a device running the Regal mobile app.
