Having debuted with Mind Unleashed two years ago, back in May 2016, Frost Earth Studio is looking ahead to the launch of a second virtual reality (VR) title, Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams. Currently in development for PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift, Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams is set to arrive in the not-too-distant future.
Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams is an adventure videogame that lets players journey through different kinds of imaginary environments. A meditative journey, Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams promised to deliver an uplifting experience with encouraging phrases and actions to enhance the experience along the way. Players will explore different kinds of mental states in order to find their emotional balance, all the while enveloped by a soundtrack featuring music by Hollywood Oscar-winning composers, such as Ennio Morricone or Nicola Piovani, as well as a selection of international artists.
Players are invited to lose themselves in a magical forest and relax in a fairy underworld, filled with fantasy mushrooms and vivid shrubbery; face stronger emotions moving through flames and tornados, or adventure deep into harrowing caves with only your lantern to light the dark around you. Along the way players must search for the bright ‘spheres of opportunities’, as collecting them all will grant access to a new heavenly environment and features which, according to Frost Earth Studio, will be continuously updated post-launch with new downloadable content (DLC).
Designed as a VR exclusive experience, Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams can be played either seated or standing, and allows for full 360 degree movement with smooth locomotion on both PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift. The videogame can be played with Oculus Touch on Oculus Rift and PlayStation Move controllers with PlayStation VR.
Frost Earth Studio is targeting a late June 2018 release for Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams, on both PC and PlayStation 4, so expect more details to be made available soon. An official Steam page for Mind Labyrinth VR Dreams has been launched, though no price point for the videogame is currently specified. Of course, VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest information from Frost Earth Studio.
