WarDucks to Return Soon With RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer

Having released first-person shooter (FPS) Sneaky Bears and RollerCoaster Legends back in 2017, indie developer WarDucks has today announced its next virtual reality (VR) title, RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer for multiple VR headsets.

As the name suggests, RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer has been inspired by Norse mythology with appearances from Viking Gods, Loki, and Thor.

“RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer builds off of what made RollerCoaster Legends so enjoyable: interesting characters, beautiful graphics, thrilling drops,” states WarDucks. “This experience also adds some optional gameplay/challenge for those who want that additional interactivity. Clocking in as a seven-minute experience, it is perfect to show off your VR kit to family and friends or when you want a break from the real world.”

“We listened to the feedback from our first RollerCoaster Legends, so decided to come back with a second which is even better than the first,” said CEO of WarDucks, Nikki Lannen in a statement. “The challenge option adds a whole new component to the rollercoaster. We are really proud of this one and can’t wait for everyone to give it a go!”

At the moment RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer doesn’t have a release date, with the studio simply saying it: “will be released soon.” When the videogame does become available it’ll support PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, sold via PlayStation store, Oculus Store, Steam, and Viveport, priced at $5.99 USD.

The original RollerCoaster Legends launched for Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, and HTC Vive at the end of December 2017, with a Samsung Gear VR version arriving in February 2018. This featured an 8 minute rollercoaster based on Greek mythology, including the likes of Minotaur, Kronos, and Hades.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of WarDucks and its VR projects, reporting back with any further announcements.
