World VR Forum Offers Oculus Go With Every Full Pass

Next month the World VR Forum takes place in Switzerland, and for one day only the summit is offering a very special deal for those wishing to attended. With every purchase of a Full Pass, guests will also get one of the new Oculus Go standalone headsets which launched earlier this month.

To celebrate the 26th month anniversary of the Oculus Rift release, World VR Forum and Oculus are offering an Oculus Go to each guest who purchase the special ‘Go Pass’, essentially a Full Pass which gives them full access for four days, costing CHF 520 (approximately £392 GBP). The offer time is very short, ending 29th May at 23:59 CET. For those that do choose the offer they’ll be able to collect their new device at the event when registering.

For this year’s World VR Forum the theme is ‘Being Together’, looking not only at the social implications of virtual reality (VR) but also how the technology can be used to bring people together. This is because the summit has chosen Bruce Wooden, Founder of AltSpaceVR as the WVRF18 Conference Chairman.

Over the course of three days speakers taking part in the conference will include: Emilie Joly – Apelab; Louis Cacciuttolo – VRroom; Luis Diego Gonzalez-Zuniga – Samsung Research; Mar Gonzalez-Franco – Microsoft Research, and many more.

Ever since its official roll out during Facebook’s (F8) conference at the beginning of the month, Oculus Go has been well received by press and consumers alike. Featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 2.5 hour battery life, built in speakers, and newly designed lenses combined with a 538ppi, 5.5” 2560 x 1440 WQHD, fast-switch LCD display, with headset offers a crisper visual look than its big brother, the Oculus Rift.

With Oculus Go retailing for £199/$199 USD, the deal is great for those who’ve been holding off buying a ticket for World VR Forum, which takes place between 7th – 10th June, 2018. For any further updates on the event, keep reading VRFocus.
