Three new Locations Confirmed for Marvel Powers United VR

There’s been a lot of Marvel Powers United VR news recently, as Sanzaru Games has slowly drip fed new information about the characters you’ll be able to play, villains that you’ll need to fight and the locations this all takes place in. Yesterday, two new villains were revealed, Magneto and Dormammu, so today it’s time for some more iconic environments to make themselves known.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) should already know the locations by the images, with three being revealed; Asgard’s Throne Room, Jotunheim and the Knowhere Market.

Asgard’s Throne Room is probably the most well known and iconic of the three, having appeared in all the Thor films. Looking every bit as grand and majestic as its cinematic cousin, with a towering statue, wall to wall gold and plenty of subdued dramatic lighting.

Then you’ve got the polar opposite with ice world Jotunheim. Ruled by the ice giants, Jotunheim is no less grand or impressive with massive ice warrior statues, foreboding hallways, and amazing landscapes strewn with blues and greens.

Lastly there’s the weird and wonderful Knowhere Market. Located inside the head of a decapitated celestial being – it’s never been revealed how this actual happened – which just so happens to be floating along at the end of the universe, it serves as an intergalactic port of call for travelers of all species.

Other than the environments themselves, Sanzaru Games hasn’t revealed a gameplay elements specific to each one, and where certain villains will be found.

Eight villainous bosses will make their way into the videogame, so alongside Magneto and Dormammu there’s going to be Loki, Venom and Ultron. While on the playable character side there will be 18 in total, with ten heroes already named: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, The Hulk, Rocket Racoon, Deadpool, Black Bolt, Crystal and Thor.

Marvel Powers United VR is expected to be released on 26th July, 2018, with a price point of $39.99 (USD). Check out VRFocus’ early preview of Marvel Powers United VR which said: “Marvel Powers United VR is part-FPS, part-MOBA, and with that looks to be an enjoyable experience for both VR newcomers and Marvel fans alike, but those familiar with the VR medium will have to wait and see if Sanzaru Games end up with just another wave shooter.” For further updates, keep reading VRFocus.
