Good news for the trainers out there that have been looking for more lucky Pokémon as there is now a new way to gain a guaranteed lucky Pokémon. This is thanks to the most recent update for the ever popular augmented reality (AR) mobile title, Pokémon GO, as now trainers can gain these lucky Pokémon by trading with other trainers with both parties gaining more benefits then before.
Lucky Pokémon, for those that don’t know are Pokémon that have a better chance of being stronger opponents in battles, require less Stardust to power up, and appear with a shimmery effect in the Pokédex and Pokémon profile. Though the nature of them remains the same with no changes there, the chance of getting these Pokémon is now much more higher. To help with this the longer a Pokémon has been in a trainer’s storage, the more likely it is to become one of this lucky Pokémon. If a Pokémon that gets traded has been in storage since July 2016 to August 2016 are guaranteed to become a lucky Pokémon.
On top of that those Pokémon that become lucky from a trade will be more powerful than ever before. They will still require less Stardust to power up as well meaning this new Pokémon will become surprisingly strong in no time at all. If you and your friend have received 10 or more lucky Pokémon, the guarantee won’t be in effect mind you so do keep that in mind when mass trading with friends.
Pokémon GO continues to get plenty of updates with another of others being teased for the coming months. This includes a report that suggest Niantic will be adding player-versus-player combat to the title along with a tease for the release of fourth generation Pokémon. This is no surprise mind you given that the title has passed over $1.8 billion (USD) in revenue since release.
Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices and is one of the most popular AR mobile videogames available. VRFocus will be sure to bring you all the latest on the title and the other ventures of developer Niantic so stay tuned for more in the future.
