Having launched its table tennis simulator Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, in 2017 and then OCulus Go and Samsung Gear VR in 2018, developer 10Ants Hill has now revealed PlayStation VR will be getting support.
Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR is a sci-fi inspired sports title that offers both full simulation and arcade modes depending on players preferences. There’s a core single-player campaign with players able to compete in four cups with 16 AI opponents to face, each with its own temper and play style.
To make the experience as realistic as possible when it comes to gameplay 10Ants Hill used motion capture to gather fluid movements, using professional table tennis players for extra authenticity.
“We can assure that the game is exceptionally challenging, engaging and fun! Thanks to the advanced physics, developed in cooperation with professional TT players, every match you’re about to play is going to be a really immersive experience” said Sebastian Boczek, CEO of 10Ants Hill in a statement.
To keep things interesting and for that added level of customisation each victory provides you with assets that allow you to develop your unique robot-character. All of this can be found in the Workshop, so you can personalise your robot with a range of designs.
Alongside the campaign, you’ll also find a practice mode to further hone those skills for the higher levels. For launch Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR won’t feature any multiplayer options, with 10Ants Hill planning to add the facility in the near future. In regards to multiplayer Boczek comments:“We want Racket Fury to become a competitive and active VR game that will involve the players from all over the world in heated exchanges.”
