Training to become a pilot is a long term goal that requires years of training and experience. Thanks to virtual reality (VR) and titles like Flying Aces – Navy Pilot Simulator the dream of being a navy pilot can become a reality all within the comfort of your own home.
Flying Aces – Navy Pilot Simulator is a story based VR title that allows players the chance to become a navy pilot. Players will sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet and carry out a wide range of training exercise to work their way up to becoming a fully qualified pilot. Hand eye coordination, decision making, and a tough stomach will be needed in order to complete this training course though as you become a master of the F-18 Super Hornet.
As players progress through the ranks the missions and challenges they will need to complete will become even more tough, offering an experience unlike any other that will test all your skills. From mastering to fly the fighter jet to handling the deadly weapons systems to take down targets and even carry out a number of landings in a range of weather conditions.
Flying Aces – Navy Pilot Simulator offers highly detailed models of all aircraft and cockpit, offering an immersive experience complete with realistic physics, destruction, and weather systems. The developers at TAS Systems Corp look to have made sure no detail is left out in this title, ensuring players have a robust and lifelike experience.
Designed to allow gamers a chance to jump into a realistic and immersive title that still offers familiar videogame based gameplay and mission design, the team promise to deliver a true to life title that is still accessible and fun for those looking for a videogame experience.
Flying Aces – Navy Pilot Simulator is available now on Steam with support for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with both gamepad and motion controls supported. The title originally held a Kickstarter campaign back in April but was unsuccessful in it’s funding but given the title is now available, all was clearly not lost in vein.
