VRtuoso is a virtual reality (VR) presentation platform for enterprise which VRFocus first encounter last month during CES 2019. This week the company has announced that it has secured $650,000 USD in seed funding in a bid to help it expand operations.
The funding round was led by Symvan Capital Limited with Compagnia Bresciana Investimenti S.p.a. also taking part. The investment will be used in two key areas, to bolster its research and development operation, whilst expanding operations across Europe and North America.
“We are delighted to welcome this round of funding as we continue to scale internationally,” Francesco Furnari, Founder & CEO, VRtuoso, said in a statement. “Enterprises that embrace VR see incredible results with our easy-to-use and cost-effective learning product. As a unique offering within the market, we expect our growth to continue as we build out our sales and marketing footprint.”
VRtuoso is very much PowerPoint for the 21st Century, embracing VR in such a way that it can make the bane of most meetings far more enjoyable, entertaining, and information rich. VRtuoso clients already include American Express, BP, BT Group, EE PwC, Pfizer and Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, who use the platform to train and develop talent. With the software, users can create, deliver and adapt presentations adding in 360° and two-dimensional content, like video, PowerPoint slides and text.
Explaining why they were so interested in supporting VRtuoso, Nicholas Nicolaides, Investment Director, Symvan Capital commented: “VRtuoso’s compelling proposition brings VR-based training to the enterprise, tackling their biggest challenges – that of cost and complexity of implementation. As investors we have focussed on the team led by Francesco, the problem they solve, the impact to the customer’s bottom-line, and the opportunity to scale. Given the impressive list of Fortune 500 customers, there is a clear opportunity to tap into customer demand for this exciting product. We proudly welcome VRtuoso and its talented team to our portfolio.”
VRtuoso is just another example of how VR companies are focusing more on the enterprise market due to businesses seeing the practical applications the technology provides. This can also be seen in hardware manufacturers, with HTC Vive announcing the Vive Focus Plus yesterday. As VRtuoso continues its expansion plans, VRFocus will keep you updated.
