Pre-orders Begin for Trover Saves the Universe, new Trailer Drops

If you loved watching Rick & Morty, playing Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality or Accounting/Accounting+ then you’ll be pleased to hear that the creative machinations of Justin Roiland are about to return in a brand new IP called Trover Saves the Universe. Announced last year, the title now has confirmed release dates for the PC and PlayStation VR versions, plus several other exciting updates.

Trover Saves the Universe

Originally a PlayStation VR exclusive, Squanch Games revealed last week that Trover Saves the Universe would be getting a PC version for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive as well. Yesterday, during Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE) State of Play broadcast the PlayStation VR release date was revealed as 31st May 2019. Today, the studio has confirmed the PC version – which is coming to Steam and Epic Games Store – will arrive on 4th June 2019.

Trover Saves the Universe looks to be just as bonkers as you might expect from Roiland, and for those excited about the release, pre-orders are now available for all versions. If you do pre-order you’ll get a 10 percent discount, with the title retailing for £21.41 GBP on Steam and $26.99 USD on PlayStation Store.

The title is a madcap adventure where you control Trover, a little purple eye-hole monster, as he tries to save the universe from a beaked lunatic named Glorkon, who just so happens to have kidnapped your dogs and put them in his eye sockets – as you do.

Trover Saves the Universe

On top of the pre-orders and release dates, if you just so happen to be in the vicinity of Boston, MA, this week then you may want to head on over to PAX East, where you can play a new demo of Trover Saves the Universe, grab some free power baby sunglasses and buy some merchandise. Plus on Thursday Justin Roiland will be hosting a super special Comedy in Games panel, at 4:30pm ET in the Main Theater.

If you can’t go, then at least check out the new trailer for Trover Saves the Universe below. And for more updates on this videogame and more, keep reading VRFocus.
