Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes Is (Technically) The First Quest Game On Sale

We were disappointed to learn that no Oculus Quest games would be featured in Oculus’ Summer Sale this week.

The headset has only been out for a little over a month and Oculus likely reasons that’s too soon to put launch titles on offer. Instead, only Rift owners get to enjoy the discounts. But, as eagle-eyed Quest fans have spotted, the first Quest game has just gone on sale… sort of.

Steel Crate Games’ excellent Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes is currently $4.94 in the Humble sale. Crucially, when you buy the game through this store, you can choose to redeem an Oculus code for it. Doing so gives you a Rift-compatible version of the game. Keep Talking, however, supports cross-buy, meaning if you have it on Rift, you have it on Quest too. So boot up your headset and you’ll be able to download it for free!

It’s a little sneaky but, hey, it works. If you don’t already own Keep Talking then we definitely recommend you pick it up. It’s a multiplayer party game in which one player wears a headset. In VR, they’ll find a bomb that they have to diffuse. Other players, meanwhile, have a manual with instructions on how to do that. You have to work together to figure out what the VR player must do, or it all goes boom.

Perfect for all your family get-togethers over the holiday weekend, then. Sadly we can’t find any other VR titles with cross-buy support in the sale. Guess we’ll just have to wait until an official one from Oculus itself.
