Today marks the official start of the Oculus Summer Sale for the Rift platform on PC and Oculus Go standalone headset. However, the Oculus Quest is conspicuously missing from the sale. We’ve reached out to Oculus for a statement about the exclusion.
On the Rift side you can grab a Duo Pack with both Arizona Sunshine and Killing Floor: Incursion together for just $25.99, which is a lot bang for your zombie-killing bucks. There’s also the Oculus Originals Premium pack which includes 10 Oculus Studios titles ranging from Lone Echo, The Mage’s Tale, Arktika.1, The Unspoken, and more for $129.99 which sounds pricey but averages out to just about $13 per game, which is a great deal. If you’re new to the Rift ecosystem then this is a great launching point to dive in from. You can find the rest of the Rift Summer Sale here, which includes other great deals like Chronos by itself just $9.99, Raw Data for only $15.99, and the original Windlands for a measly $1.99.
Notably, it doesn’t seem like any of the discounted Rift games are cross-buy titles on Oculus Quest. That’s likely an intentional decision since Quest is not included in the sale at all.
For Oculus Go there’s a Grand Essentials Pack that includes some of the best Oculus Go games (10 total) in one neat package, such as Virtual Virtual Reality, Drop Dead, Eclipse: Edge of Light, and End Space, all for just $45.99. That averages out to only about $4-$5 per game. Then there’s also the Daily Deal for flight-sim Overflight at just $3.99. The rest of the Go Summer Sale is here, with lots of other discounts.
Let us know what you think of the sale down in the comments below! And if you’re in the market for more cheap VR games on PC, make sure and check out the Steam Summer Sale as well with over 1,200 VR games discounted.
