Revealed in our Holiday VR Showcase last week, Crunch Element: VR Infiltration is a new shooter game with lots of physics-based VR explosions.
The gameplay trailer, embedded below, sees you blast your way into buildings and gun down the enemies within. This flexible explosion-centered method of playing is coined as “breaching” by the developers, Black Box VR Lab. “Breaching is a cornerstone mechanic to Crunch Element. Place wall charges, throw grenades, and use peculiar weapons to blow holes in walls, ceilings, and floors to crack open entry points to compounds!”
It certainly looks like a lot of explosive fun. You’ll also be able to tailor the weapons and your approach to levels to suit your own play style. The early access version of the game will launch as a single player experience. However for the full release, multiplayer is planned. “The full version will ideally include 3v3 attacker vs defender multiplayer, and have many more weapons and single-player maps than early access.”
The developers state on the Steam page that the game will remain in early access for ” 4-6 months leading up to the multiplayer full release late 2020.” Given these comments about a later 2020 full release, it seems safe to assume that the early access release might not arrive into a few months into next year.
You can read more about Crunch Element: VR Infiltration and add the game to your wishlist ahead of the early access release on Steam in 2020.
