Swords of Gargantua’s Tesseract Abyss Update Adds new Adventure Mode

Yomuneco Inc’s. Swords of Gargantua offers players on multiple VR headsets the chance to engage in some brutal melee combat across both single-player and multiplayer modes. Today, the studio has launched the Tesseract Abyss update adding a wealth of new content.

Swords of Gargantua: Tesseract Abyss

Swords of Gargantua – Tesseract Abyss is a new adventure mode adding more role-playing game (RPG) style elements, enriching the gameplay depth. Still supporting single-player and co-op multiplayer, inside the Tesseract Abyss players can level their character up and improve their weapons.

Fighting enemies will increase the character’s performance and abilities. These abilities can then be further strengthened by collecting coins, increasing attributes like HP and strength. Players can then craft better weapons to further improve their chances in combat. Duplicate weapons can be combined to make stronger versions of themselves, so players can collect and strengthen a lot of weaker type weapons or earn more powerful weapons later on and speed up the process.

Before each battle players can also purchase temporary buffs called Artifacts. Bought with coins, the Artifacts boost areas such as strength or health. Up to four weapons and Artifacts can be taken into each battle.

Swords of Gargantua: Tesseract Abyss

Swords of Gargantua originally launched for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and other PC VR headsets in June 2019 alongside Oculus Quest, offering cross-platform gameplay between the systems. HTC Vive Cosmos support was included to coincide with its arrival in October. The core experience features over 50 missions, with 30 weapons to unlock. Each weapon is designed to suit different gameplay styles, from large heavy damage types which are slow to faster swords to get hits in quick succession.

The title also has a magical element where players can power up their weapons for short periods, unleashing devastating attacks for large amounts of damage, great for when a boss turns up. As mentioned this doesn’t need to be a solo operation, as up to four people can collaborate to ensure survival all the way to the final boss, Gargantua.
