Most of you might be stuck at home at the moment but that’s no reason to be bored, especially if you have a virtual reality (VR) headset as there are plenty of ways to stay entertained. One of the best ways to be productive with your time is to get creative using apps like Tilt Brush or Quill. Another worth considering for PC VR users is Tvori. The animation app designed for beginners and experienced professionals alike has just released a new animation timeline for added flexibility and functionality.
The timeline update improves and enhances Tvori’s tools for animators to use, such as making it easier to work with multiple keys (retime, change interpolation, copy & paste multiple keys). The real-time and keyframe animation modes have seen improvements so that users are able to loop animations and use visibility tracks to show and hide objects in a certain time period.
“We’ve created Tvori because we believe that animating and being creative should be possible for everyone. The animation timeline allows designers to turn their vision into working prototypes and non-animators to tell memorable stories. Animation is the heart of Tvori and its now better than ever,” said CEO and Tvori co-found Inga Petryaevskaya in a press release. “Creativity is enhanced with easy to use tools. We hope this new animation timeline enables you to create amazing things.”
For VR creators, one of the best reasons to use Tvori’s new animation timeline is for prototyping an app or videogame, helping the platform expand away from its traditional animation industry focus to include those building the latest VR and augmented reality (AR) experiences. Even if you’re not a VR/AR developer you can use Tvori to make an entire animated movie.
Availibilty is where things get confusing. Tvori has been available on Steam since 2016 and currently retails for £15.49 or there’s the Pro version from the company website for $125 per year (an Oculus Store version was once available). But hold on one moment as a free starter version will be released on Tvori’s website and the Steam edition will be free soon.
