
If you’ve made it through VRFocus’ list of ‘50+ Free VR Games‘ and have a little bit of cash to spend to support developers then here’s a massive list of virtual reality (VR) videogames for under a fiver.

Oculus Quest
- Bonfire – An interactive short movie where humanity is looking for a new home.
- Cirque du Soleil – A close up look a some of Cirque du Soleil’s famous shows.
- Fail Factory! – Mini-game heaven inside a robot factory, with lots of physics-based puzzles to solve.
- Myth: A Frozen Tale – Another immersive animation this time from the famous Walt Disney Animation Studios.
- The Line – An award-winning interactive short, The Line offers a scale model of 1940s São Paulo in this miniature love story. One of the first titles to natively integrate Oculus’ hand tracking.

PC VR
- Alice Mystery Garden – Help Alice overcome adversity in this VR action-puzzle videogame.
- Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games – The TV show steps into VR for a new immersive adventure.
- A-10 VR – One of the early VR wave shooters, a fun title designed to help introduce gamers into VR.
- Basketball Madness – Practice those free throws in the standard Court Mode or mix it up with powerups and power-downs in the Fun Mode.
- Boogeyman – Love a good scare? Then try to survive the night against the Boogeyman with only a flashlight.
- Boogeyman 2 – Similar to the above, just a bit scarier because each night it’ll get darker.
- Crowe: The Drowned Armory – The first installment in an episodic adventure, solve puzzles and uncover the story or head into the Survival Arena for some wave-based action.
- Dungeon Escape VR – An escape room experience, solve puzzles to find your way out.
- Downward Spiral: Prologue – A sci-fi experience with a solo or co-op campaign and am 8-player deathmatch mode.
- Floor Plan: Hands-On Edition – A comedy puzzle title entirely set within an elevator.
- Firebird – La Peri – An interactive musical experience, it’s “based on classical music and ballet by composer Paul Dukas and starring John Rhys-Davies as the Narrator.”
- Gunjack – One of the best VR wave-shooters from 2016, jump in a gun turret and protect your mining vessel from interstellar pirates.
- Header Goal VR: Being Axel Rix – After an energetic title then step into the shoes of a young football player and practice those header skills across a range of modes.
- Interkosmos – Inspired by 1970’s space technology, you have to navigate your re-entry capsule back down to Earth; figuring out all the knobs and switches along the way.
- Inbound – Inspired by the classic missile defence arcade games of the ’80s with a bit of first-person VR flair.
- Kismet – A daily fortune-teller experience who delivers tarot and astrology readings, something a little different.
- Key of Impasse – Anther escape room videogame, this time the pressure is increased as you only have 30 mins to get out.
- Magical Squash – A single-player sports game inside a magical squash court.
- Manifest 99 – An ominous and eerie story set in the afterlife with only gaze-based controls.
- Naked Sun – A futuristic FPS where you try to infiltrate an AI-controlled city on a cargo train, killing any robots in your way.
- Old Friend – “A fun animated reactive VR music video for the track “Old Friend” by the band Future Islands.”
- Omega Agent – Train to become a super-spy and take to the skies in a nuclear-powered jetpack, testing those shooting and piloting skills across a cityscape.
- Scanner Sombre – Explore pitch-black caves using a LIDAR scanner in this visually stunning experience.
- Starbear Taxi – A fun and funky videogame where you need to ferry your busy bear customers to their destinations in your spaceship taxi.
- The Great C – A cinematic sci-fi short story by Philip K. Dick.
- The Dream Collector – Another VR animation, telling the tale of an old man and his playful dog who collect and try to fix broken dreams.
- Unseen Diplomacy – A short spy experience designed to utilise room-scale VR to its fullest.
- VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms – More escape room puzzles for those who love good brain teasers.
- Waddle Home – Help save the penguins! Guide them through 40 frozen levels and collect their eggs at the same time.

PlayStation VR
- A Night in the Forum – An educational videogame which takes players into the world of Augustan Rome.
- Affected: The Manor – Described as a ‘walk through’ horror experience, with few game mechanics it’s great for scaring those new to VR.
- Apocalypse Rider – A motorcycle survival game where you speed through wasteland roads avoiding all the hostile traffic.

- Ctrl – A dark, emotional drama telling the story of a teenager competing in the final of an online tournament.
- Crystal Rift – An early title from 2016, this is a dungeon crawler with 26 levels and a few horror moments.

- Floor Plan – A comedy puzzle title entirely set within an elevator.
- Gunjack – It was that good we’ve listed it twice. One of the best VR wave-shooters from 2016, jump in a gun turret and protect your mining vessel from interstellar pirates.

- RollerCoaster Legends II: Thor’s Hammer – A non-stop rollercoaster ride themed around Norse mythology.
