When it comes to getting that virtual reality (VR) fan in your life something new – or for Christmas – then Facebook’s new Oculus Quest 2 has become the to go headset. Starting at £299 GBP, the standalone headset hasn’t been to difficult to get hold off but it’s easier in some countries than others. So here are the current shipping times from Oculus.com.
Oculus’ official website is likely the main shopping portal due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, with local retailers shut due to lock down measures. As you can see from the table below, the headset is still available before 25th December in most countries with a couple of exceptions.
Customers most affected are those in the US or Canada, with mid to late January 2021 the soonest. With the Oculus Quest 2 – 64GB model seemingly the most popular, places like the UK and Ireland are seeing an extended delay.

Of course, this is only from Oculus.com, if local retailers are open or offer online sales then they may have more available stock. The 256 GB version is available via Amazon UK for delivery this week, but there’s no 64 GB version in stock.
German customers will also notice that no data was available, this is due to Facebook’s ongoing troubles with the Federal Cartel Office (FCO), halting sales in the process.
