I Expect You To Die 2 Confirmed for Oculus Quest & Rift

I Expect You To Die 2

When Schell Games announced I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar earlier this year it kept platform support under wraps. A Steam page indicated PC VR headsets would be getting a look in and then in March PlayStation VR got the nod. Today, as part of the Oculus Gaming Showcase the studio has confirmed what VRFocus expected, Oculus Quest and Rift support.

I Expect You To Die 2

The original I Expect You to Die earned Schell Games over $2 million USD on its own so it’s no surprise that the standalone headset would get a look in at the sequel. Along with the announcement today the developer also released several new screenshots.

I Expect You To Die experienced remarkable success on Oculus platforms, and we’re excited to announce I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar will be available for Oculus gamers later this year. Our fanbase on Oculus helped us reach incredible milestones with the original title, and our team is looking forward to providing new and returning Secret Agents with an engaging, story-driven experience,” said Jesse Schell, CEO of Schell Games in a statement.

I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar will continue where its predecessor left off, placing you as a secret operative tasked with going back undercover to thwart the evil plans of Dr. Zor and Zoraxis’ move for world domination. With new missions, ever dastardly puzzles and new locations, this time around Dr. Zor might not be the only one you need to investigate.

I Expect You To Die 2

“We used the first game as a foundation to create a cohesive, cinematic experience that places players in the centre of their very own spy movie,” adds Charlie Amis, Project Director for I Expect You To Die 2. “We’re confident I Expect You To Die 2 will be a surprising and exciting adventure for new and returning players as they test their wits against Dr. Zor.”

Currently, Schell Games has said I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar will be coming to all announced platforms later this year. When more details arrive about the release date VRFocus will let you know.
