After a tease earlier this week Beat Saber fans can now get their hands on the next music pack, and it’s a big one. Beat Games has joined forces with Interscope Records, bringing some of the label’s best and most well-known artists into the popular rhythm action videogame with the Beat Saber: Interscope Mixtape Music Pack.
While LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem was a given considering it featured on the brief trailer, there are some surprising and welcome additions. What’s clear is that these are all chart-toppers, providing one of the most high-profile selections of tracks for you to hack and slice away to.
There are seven tracks in total:
- Kendrick Lamar – “DNA.”
- LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett, GoonRock – “Party Rock Anthem”
- OneRepublic – “Counting Stars”
- The Pussycat Dolls – “Don’t Cha”
- Limp Bizkit – “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)”
- Maroon 5 – “Sugar”
- Gwen Stefani – “The Sweet Escape ft. Akon”
Just like with previous music packs the Beat Saber: Interscope Mixtape Music Pack can be purchased in its entirety for $9.99 USD (about £8.40 GBP) or if you’re not a Maroon 5 fan but love yourself some Limp Bizkit, then each individual track can be purchased for $1.99. The songs support all five difficulty settings including the multiplayer mode.
“It has been exciting to work with Beat Saber over the years especially for this special collaboration,” says David Nieman, VP of Sports and Gaming at Interscope Records in a statement. “Beat Saber continues to elevate the way music is uniquely integrated into the game heightening the user’s experience and driving user engagement.”
Even though Beat Games was acquired by Facebook in 2019 the studio has continued to support all versions of Beat Saber. So that means the Beat Saber: Interscope Mixtape Music Pack has seen a multiplatform launch, available for SteamVR headsets as well as PlayStation VR, so everyone should be happy.
VRFocus will continue its coverage of Beat Saber, reporting back with all the latest updates.
