KCON USA is one of the largest festivals of Korean music and culture in the world, with events in Los Angeles and New York. Beginning as a small one-day evening back in 2012, the event has seen exponential growth. This year, even more people will be able to experience what KCON USA is like, since the event will be captured in 360-degree film.
Insurance company State Farm is providing the support for the endeavour to capture the New york even using 360-degree cameras. The filming aims to capture the glittering concerts featuring well-known K-Pop stars along with the myriad panel discussions and workshops, along with esoteric events such as esports, K-drama and K-beauty.
Virtual reality content will also be available on site at both the New York and Los Angeles KCON events, again provided by State Farm. The content will include some exclusive looks at some of the artists who will be providing the concert line-up.
“State Farm is excited to bring the world of KCON to the greater online audience with our VR Experience and helping dedicated fans experience the excitement of KCON in both New York and Los Angeles,” said Patty Morris, Brand Content Director at State Farm. “Using VR gives us a new way to engage with KCON fans as they experience the festival online and off.”
