Last Chance to Get a HTC Vive in time for Christmas

There’s only five days to go until Christmas, a time for eating, drinking and generally being very merry for several days. If you’ve not yet completed your festive shopping due to struggling to find those last items for a difficult family member, then how about introducing them to the world of virtual reality (VR). Regular VRFocus readers should already be well versed in the technology but it is still niche, and more people need to be welcomed into the fold. One of the biggest names in the industry, HTC Vive, has announced that today is the last day for ordering the popular head-mounted display (HMD) to get it in time for the big day.

HTC Vive Christmas

What’s more likely to put a smile on someones face, a pair of socks and some dodgy aftershave, or a shiny, brand new HTC Vive with a Fallout 4 VR code included, so the lucky recipient can enjoy Christmas exploring the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the Commonwealth – just expect to lose them for a few hours as they venture into this massive videogame, only leaving for eggnog and nibbles.

HTC Vive plus Fallout 4 VR retails for £599 GBP including shipping. The bundle also includes Google Tilt Brush if you want to get creative and a free one months trial to Viveport Subscription, giving you access to a further five titles.

Don’t forget that Viveport has begun its Winter sale as well, offering a range of discounts and promotions. Videogames on the platform are currently being discounted by up 80 percent, including titles like The Gallery – Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone, Front DefenseManifest 99 and many more. Anyone who spends $29.99 USD or more (or local equivalent) on the store will also get three free months of Viveport Subscription, giving access to even more content.

On top of that you can now save yourself some cash and ensure you’ve got access to the latest titles for longer with discounts on each of the plans.

And for those that like to stay connected, Facebook announced yesterday that its VR app, Facebook Spaces is now cross-platform compatible, so HTC Vive users can also use the software to connect with friends and family.

Head on over to Vive.com for more info, and keep checking back with VRFocus for all your latest VR updates.
