When it comes to the laser light show things certainly have developed over the last decade, whereas once the term meant shining a beam of light into the air in order to paint the outline of a loosely associated shape – maybe including some form of animation if you were particularly lucky. Nowadays with the advancements in computer, laser and projection technology practically anything can be your canvas.
Even buildings can be your canvas. You might have seen them used in celebrations around the world during New Year’s Eve for example. The process was also used to fantastic effect during the opening ceremony to London’s 2012 Olympic Games.
Today’s video takes in one such light show. Filmed on a Samsung Gear 360 we’re off to Germany to Karlsruhe Castle (aka Karlsruhe Palace) for the Schlosslichtspiele 2017 festival. Watch as the grand building comes to life before exploding a dazzling display of colours.
VRFocus will be back with another 360 degree video on Wednesday but be sure to look out for news on it and other aspects of the virtual reality (VR) spectrum throughout the week.
