Tamaggo 360LiveCam Goes on Sale

There are plenty of 360-degree cameras on the market, with single lens and dual lens models available to consumers. Today sees the launch of another single lens model, the Tamaggo 360LiveCam, retailing for $399 USD/£332.50 GBP.

With its unique egg-like shape the Tamaggo has another individual feature that sets it apart from other 360-degree cameras, an integrated 1.5″ touchscreen to preview images. So users have the option to either use the iOS or Android compatible smartphone app or use the screen located at the bottom of the camera to check photos and videos.

Because of its single lens design images don’t require stitching or editing prior to sharing on social media channels through the app. Images are shot in 4K whilst video is HD quality. The Tamaggo can also livesteam, allowing users to share their experiences in real-time.

“Tech today is very isolating – people are ego-oriented, taking selfies and only sharing and showing themselves,” commented Rodolphe Droin, Chairman of Tamaggo in a statement. “Tamaggo is bringing people back together in a digital world by sharing everything in your experience – not just yourself. This has the potential to cause a big shift in behavior, and we are taking a leadership role in educating consumers about the new 360° paradigm. This is what excites our team the most.”

“Tamaggo’s mission is to create life-changing experiences that connect people, so we set out to make our camera as simple to use as possible,” said Frederique Huillet, COO of Tamaggo. “Both the camera and the mobile app were built to deliver on the functionality and technical specifications of a great user experience: ease-of-use, live features, image quality and touch screen control. With Tamaggo 360LiveCam, anyone can feel like they are with you in an immersive way, at any time, wherever you are.”
