Developer and publisher CentVire have revealed their virtual reality (VR) title Fury Fighter VR which will be making its way to Early Access sometime in the future. This videogame, as the title may give a clue towards, is a VR beat ’em up in which players need to take down waves of gang members in order to save their significant other.
Fury Fighter VR will see players entering a virtual world in which their significant other has been taken away from them by a gang and it falls down to them in order to save the day. Thanks to the motion tracking options available with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, players will be able to deal out the street justice all while dodging those incoming hits as they punch through wave after wave of gang members. From biker gang members to the usual punk looking fellow and even hot dog wearing guys, players will need to beat them all equally.
The currently details on the title are thin but the Early Access release will see the title going through around five to eight months of development before releasing in full. At release there will be an arcade mode that will allow players the chance to beat up virtual gang members with a number of other gamemodes and features planned further down the line. This includes the option for multiplayer and co-op gameplay with modes including deathmatch, team deathmatch and character customization being a part of this line up of features.
What makes Fury Fighter VR sound rather interesting is that the title will include procedurally generated levels, meaning that each encounter will be different no matter how many times a player goes to deliver justice. As the development on the title continues and it releases into Early Access players will be able to see first hand how much variety there is to be found in the titles systems.
There is currently no word on when Fury Fighter VR will be entering Steam Early Access or what the price point will be but the developer notes that during the Early Access period the price will gradually increase as they add new content and features. CentVire’s other VR titles include the likes of OniBushi VR and Tombo Breaker VR.
VRFocus will be sure to bring you all the latest on Fury Fighter VR in the future so make sure to stay tuned for more.
