Yesterday VRFocus reported on Polyarc bringing its popular virtual reality (VR) title Moss for PlayStation VR to retail in the US in June. Today, the studio has now confirmed the launch date for European customers interested in getting hold of a physical copy.
While Moss will be released in the US on 12th June, European players will have to wait a few extra days with the launch set for 15th June 2018. There will be no difference in price between the digital and disk-based versions of Moss, both retailing for £24.99 GBP.
The physical launch is thanks to a partnership between Polyarc and Perp Games, the latter of which has helped several VR titles for PlayStation VR come to retail locations. They have included Time Carnage, The American Dream, Radial-G: Racing Revolved, VR Karts, and Don’t Knock Twice. Then there is Apex Construct and Operation Warcade still to come.
First announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 in June, Moss features and adorable little mouse called Quill who sets out on an adventure seeing her solve puzzles and explore a larger-than-life world of caves, forests, and foreboding ruins that are filled with ancient artifacts, mysterious creatures, and sprawling views.
Launched back in February, Moss soon became the number one downloaded title for PlayStation VR in North America during March after Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIEA) released the figures.
Moss has been a sure fire hit with players and critics alike, with the title gaining VRFocus’ full five stars in a review which said: “Moss is a flawlessly crafted experience starring a character that absolutely deserves to be the face of modern VR. Every inch of the world shows attention to detail, and a story is woven that draws you in, making you truly invested in the world and in Quill as a person. All that can be wished for is that there was more.”
