Earlier today Oculus Rift support went live on Viveport, allowing users even more options when purchasing virtual reality (VR) titles. Yet the online retail outlet isn’t stopping there, announcing a new limited time offer on Viveport Subscription’s as well as additional titles making their way to the service.
Oculus Rift and HTC Vive owners looking at a Viveport Subscription journey can now get a great deal with the Best in Both Worlds offer starting today. From 4th September to 16th September 11:59pm PDT, customers who buy a 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month Subscription bundle (currently available for a 25% discount) will get additional free titles to keep forever for their content library. The deals are as follows:
- 3-Month Plan ($19.99): Get Shooty Fruity to keep forever for free (Over $39 USD in value)
- 6-Month Plan ($39.99): Get Everest VR + Shooty Fruity to keep forever for free (Over $74 in value)
- 12-Month Plan ($79.99): Get Final Soccer VR + Everest VR + Shooty Fruity + Guns’n’Stories: Bulletproof VR (Over $154 in value)
“With Viveport Subscription, Oculus Rift owners can avoid two of virtual reality’s most discussed issues – trialing new content and cost,” said Rikard Steiber, President of Viveport in a statement. “By choosing five titles a month from Viveport Subscription’s curated library, consumers can discover great VR content while saving hundreds of dollars. We are just getting started on supporting Oculus Rift owners and look forward to continue adding content to the Viveport line-up.”
As well as the Best in Both Worlds offer, Cloudhead Games has brought its two sci-fi puzzle titles to the service. “We’re thrilled to be bringing The Gallery – Episode 1: Call of the Starseed and The Gallery – Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone to Viveport Subscription,” said Jo Dunlop at Cloudhead Games. “Launching on Viveport Subscription enables a whole new audience to have access to our content for the first time, further expanding and enriching our community.”
In addition to all that, Vive Studios’ Ready Player One: OASIS beta will receive a significant update this month, for both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift owners. The upgrade will allow players to customise their own OASIS personas in a new Avatar Creator while experiencing new levels in Battle for the OASIS, Smash, Fracture and Gauntlet, totaling an additional 15+ hours of gameplay. Ready Player One: OASIS beta’s content upgrade and all new DLC will be available for $19.99 and included in Viveport Subscription soon. For any further updates keep reading VRFocus.
