Developer Daily Magic Productions have announced that its dark fantasy virtual reality (VR) puzzle-adventure title The Witching Tower is now available worldwide on Steam and Viveport, just in time for Halloween.
The Witching Tower is an action-adventure title with puzzle elements where the players explores a dark fantasy world full of dangers and intrigue. The title takes place inside a haunted tower in the heart of a kingdom fallen to ruin.
Players are challenged to explore the tower, face undead enemies and solve riddles and puzzles as part of a quest to uncover the hidden history of the tower. Users can choose if they wish to explore using smooth locomotion, or stick with teleport movement.
A range of tools and weapons are available to find and use to aid users in solving puzzles and defeating enemies, there are also special powers that can be unlocked to assist when engaging in the dynamic combat system.
The player takes on the role of Anna, a girl who has a strange and unexplained connection to the undead. She has long been hunted by the Queen, who after many long years of searching, has found Anna and dragged her in chains to the Witching Tower. Anna now has to learn to use her connection to the dead to find a way to escape.
Special powers such as the ability to reveal invisible objects, or use a magic lasso to use the environment to your advantage. Other powers are also available to be discovered to aid in the fight against enemies such as skeletons or bats.
The Witching Tower is now available to buy on Steam for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and is also available on Viveport, priced at £15.49 (GBP). Further information can be found on the Steam Store page.
