Get in the Festive Spirit With The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets

With the way 2020 has gone everyone needs a bit of festive cheer so Fast Travel Games has brought back some seasonal content for its charming puzzler The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets.

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets

After its original launch just over a year ago for Oculus Quest, the studio rolled out a festive update where Grandpa Santa Claus has somehow lost his presents. So it’s up to players to find and return them to his sack for an in-game reward. This is the same content from 2019, returning for new owners. It’ll be available until 10th January 2021.

“The Curious Tale has had a fantastic time since it’s launch late 2019, claiming numerous rewards and nominations from all over the world!” said James Hunt, the game’s Creative Lead in a statement. “This update is the same one we published during last year’s Holiday season, but since the game has gotten tens of thousands of new owners on Oculus Quest since then, we felt we should give these players the chance to help Grandpa Santa and claim the reward as well!”

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is one of those sweet, family-friendly VR experiences which is accessible to all. Players have to spin around interactive islands which have hidden coins and pets. The latter tend to be a little more difficult, some involving a series of puzzles rather than just looking in a bush.

When reviewing Fast Travel Games’ latestVRFocus noted: “The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is a perfectly pleasant VR experience which features all the polish you’d expect from Fast Travel Games.”

The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets is available for Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. The Oculus Quest version also includes hand tracking, one of the few titles to natively integrate the feature.

Fast Travel Games’ next VR title is the polar opposite of The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets. Due for release next year, Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife is a horror experience where even as a dead wraith there are still things to fear. For further updates from the studio, keep reading VRFocus.
