Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive’s Arizona Sunshine might be four years old but the title is still going strong with regular updates. The next will arrive in a few days, expanding the Horde Mode with a new map: Trailer Park.
A classic Arizona Sunshine location, the Trailer Park allows four-players to tackle hordes of zombies in amongst dilapidated old trailers. They’re not purely there for scenery as the trailers hide valuable loot to aid survival. Vitally needed when exploring the alleyways and narrow side streets, great places to get ambushed and overwhelmed.
The Trailer Park horde mode map will be completely free, arriving first for the Oculus Quest next Tuesday, 15th December. PC VR headsets and PlayStation VR will then get the new map early next year.
Arizona Sunshine is one of VR’s success stories, earning over $1.4 million USD in its first month. That was further buoyed in December 2019 with its release for Oculus Quest. While Vertigo Games is best known for publishing the zombie shooter the company has also published A Fisherman’s Tale and created Skyworld. Its latest project is After the Fall, another FPS which the team recently confirmed would be delayed until early 2021.
The studio’s success saw Koch Media acquire it several months ago for €50 million EUR. With the purchase Koch Media is entering the field of VR for the first time.
